Bill Peltzman’s
career in adhesion spans 41 years. Ten of those years were in the
aerospace industry working on man-rated missions to the moon and other
adhesion-related projects. The remaining time was devoted to products
involving textile adhesion - first at a large, 1st tier
supplier to the automotive industry and then, in a self employed role,
as a consultant. The consulting business was established in April 1999.
Bill’s strategy for developing textile treatments is based on proven
Materials/Process Engineering concepts. He employs surface analysis and
basic adhesion technology to assist in treatment development and
optimization. His aerospace and automotive industry experience leads to
bonding systems that possess the capability for long term service in
severe environments.
In addition to standard textile treating techniques, Bill has experience
with other unique processes, such as plasma treating, to enhance textile
adhesion in difficult circumstances. Bill has many years of formulating
experience in textile treatments. This experience is often employed
when traditional treatments fall short of performance requirements.
Bill is a graduate Chemical Engineer.
